Better scanning results

• Stand bottles and cans upright, side by side, with labels facing the camera.
• Use good, even light — tap the flashlight button in dark places.
• Fill the frame: move closer or tap 2× for small items.
• For crates, photograph them from the front so the crate and bottle necks are visible, then confirm the crate on the result screen.
• Every count can be corrected with + and − before saving, and later in History.

Deposit values

Defaults: €0.25 single-use bottles and cans (DPG), €0.15 reusable bottles, €0.08 reusable beer bottles, €1.50 per crate. Change them in Settings › Scanning › Deposit Values; saved scans are recalculated.

Purchase and restore

The first 3 completed scans are free. Lifetime is a one-time purchase. To restore it on a new iPhone with the same Apple Account, open Settings › Purchase › Restore Purchase (or the button on the paywall). Purchases are processed by Apple; for refunds use reportaproblem.apple.com.

Widget

Touch and hold the Home Screen, tap Edit › Add Widget and choose PfandLens. Tap the period label in the widget to switch between today, this week and total.

Location reminders

Settings › Location › Nearby Reminders. Save a return point and switch on its reminder. iOS requires “Always” location access for arrival reminders; you can turn everything off at any time.
